Ted Michaels

Ted Michaels is a senior managing director in the firm’s Energy Transition group.

In over 20 years covering the renewables and clean energy sectors, he has led many notable M&A and capital markets transactions, including public mergers, development platform divestitures and acquisitions, IPOs and private capital financings. He has advised a range of strategic and financial clients on these transactions, working with private developers, public clean energy companies, infrastructure funds, sponsors and electric utilities.

Mr. Michaels was most recently global head of renewables and sustainable energy technology at Credit Suisse. Earlier in his career, he  worked in the power & utilities investment banking division at Dexia and the technology solutions managing consulting group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He earned a B.S. in engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
