Ira Wolfson
Ira Wolfson is a senior managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice. He has been an advisor to companies and investment firms worldwide for nearly 30 years.
Recent transactions include advising Blackstone on the sale of Arka to CACI for $2.6B; Stanley Black & Decker on the sale of Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing to Howmet for $1.8B; KKR on its sale of Kito Crosby to Columbus McKinnon for $2.7B; GE on its formation of three independent public companies; Transdigm on its $1.4B acquisition of CPI’s electron device business; Greenbriar on the $1.5B acquisition of West Star Aviation; Safran on the acquisition of RTX’s actuation and controls business for $1.8B; Teledyne Technologies on its $8B acquisition of FLIR Systems; Boeing on $40B of bond financing; BorgWarner on the spinoff of Phinia; Duff & Phelps on its $4.3B sale to Stone Point Capital; Adient on a series of M&A and debt financings totaling over $8B; Veritas Capital on its $17B sale of Athenahealth and $1.4B sale of Abaco Systems to Ametek; Esterline Technologies on its $4.1B sale to TransDigm Group; and the Carlyle Group on the sales of Chromalloy, Sequa Precoat and Titan Ship Repair.
Previously, he was an executive vice chairman with Rothschild & Co, co-head of global industrials and co-head of global aerospace & defense.
He is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council of Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy and a trustee of the Jacob Burns Film Center.
Mr. Wolfson earned a B.A. from Duke University.
