Courtney McBean is a senior managing director in the firm’s Technology strategic advisory practice based in Menlo Park.

Ms. McBean has advised many leading technology companies, including Tesla on its acquisition of SolarCity and its investment in xAI; the special committee of Dell on the merger with its Class V tracking stock through which Dell went public; HTC on two cooperation agreements with Google whereby certain HTC employees working to develop Pixel smartphones and, separately, certain XR employees joined Google, with each agreement including the issuance of a non-exclusive IP license; Embark on its sale to Applied Intuition; Mobileye on its initial public offering; Samsara on its initial public offering; and Aurora on its follow-on equity offerings.

Before joining Evercore, Ms. McBean was a managing director at Greenhill. Previously, she was a vice president in Citigroup’s global technology investment banking group. She started her career as a corporate and M&A lawyer at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

Ms. McBean earned a B.S. in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
