Jonathan Fung

Jonathan Fung is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice, focused on the financial technology sector.

Mr. Fung’s investment banking experience includes advising public and private companies, founders and financial sponsors on M&A and capital markets transactions. Notable assignments include Chime’s IPO; PayPal’s acquisition of iZettle; First Data’s combination with Fiserv; Global Payments’ acquisition of MineralTree; the carve-out sale of Netspend to Rev Worldwide; NEX Group’s sale to CME Group; MoneyLion’s acquisition of Even Financial; and the sale of EngageSmart to Vista Equity Partners.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Fung was a CPA at Deloitte’s Honolulu office serving audit clients across hospitality and financial institutions.

He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and earned his MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
