John Turek

John Turek is a managing director in Evercore’s Real Estate Strategic Advisory group and focuses on raising capital across various investment and transaction formats. He is responsible for coverage of institutional investors and consultants across the U.S. East Coast, Southeast, eastern Canada and Latin America. He also sources private capital advisory mandates on behalf of real estate sponsors.

Mr. Turek previously was a senior vice president at Clarion Partners and spent 11 years working in acquisitions, asset management, product development and capital raising capacities. During his tenure, he completed more than $2.8 billion in total transactions and capital raised on behalf of funds and separately managed accounts. Earlier in his career, he was an associate at Sovereign Capital Management, where he assisted in the acquisition and restructuring of a distressed real estate sponsor managing 19 million square feet of office and 8,700 apartment units, resulting in more than $500 million of closed transactions.

Mr. Turek serves as co-head of PREA’s Rising Leaders organization. He earned a B.S. in marketing at the University of Arizona and holds both Series 7 and 63 licenses.
