Rafael Polanco

Rafael Polanco is a senior managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice, focusing on the sale of minority and majority stakes in alternative asset management firms.

Within the asset management industry, Mr. Polanco has advised such firms as HIG Capital, Silver Lake Partners, Leonard Green & Partners, New Mountain Capital, Francisco Partners, Golub Capital, Stonepeak, GTCR, PAI Partners, T. Rowe Price and Peppertree Capital.

Select transactions outside the asset management industry include the spinoffs by Cendant that resulted in four publicly traded companies; the merger of DuPont and Dow Chemical; the sale of Broadcom to Avago Technologies; and capital raises for MGM Mirage and E*Trade Financial.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Polanco worked in the investment banking group at Credit Suisse First Boston, focusing on M&A in the technology industry.

He earned a B.S. in biology and a B.E. in environmental engineering from the Dual Degree Program in Science and Engineering at New York University and Stevens Institute of Technology. Mr. Polanco is a member of the Arts & Science Board at New York University.
