Kirtan Pansari

Kirtan Pansari is a senior managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory practice focused on the chemicals sector, with 20 years’ experience.

Mr. Pansari has advised on over 50 strategic and financing transactions during his career, including recently Carlyle on its €7.7B acquisition of BASF Coatings; Ascend on its €1.2B debt restructuring; Buckman on its $1.5B sale to Prtizker; Nova Chemicals on its $2.4B refinancing; Alltech on its $1B refinancing; TJC on its $1.5B acquisition of USALCO; Corteva on its $1.2B acquisition of Stoller; Paine Schwartz on its initial PIPE investment into AGFS and subsequent $650M take-private; Covestro on its €1.6B acquisition of DSM Materials; UPL on its $4.2B acquisition of Arysta; and Carlyle on its original €10B acquisition of Nouryon/Akzo Specialty Chemicals.

Before joining Evercore in 2015, Mr. Pansari was a director at Deutsche Bank in London in the investment banking division, initially in the technology, media & communications and structured equity groups, then in the natural resources group. Mr Pansari started his career at Goldman Sachs, where he was part of the macroeconomics and equity portfolio strategy team based in London.

He is a chartered financial analyst and earned a B.S. in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
