Mark Hennessy is a senior managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory business and co-head of the European financial institutions group, based in London. His focus is on advising on insurance distribution, insurance services, MGAs and underwriting companies.

Notable transactions include advising the AA on its sale to Warburg Pincus and Towerbrook, Ark Insurance on its capital raising and the sale of a majority shareholding to White Mountains, A-Plan on its sale to Howden and the associated investment by Hg Capital in Howden, McGill & Partners on its formation and capitalisation by Warburg Pincus, McLarens on its sale to Lee Equity, and Miller Insurance on its sale to Willis Tower Watson. He also advised on the acquisition of Specialist Risk Group by HGGC and the IPO of Sabre Insurance.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Hennessy was one of the founders of Lexicon Partners, acquired by Evercore in 2011. Previously, he was with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and before that at Hambros Bank.

He has a degree in management science from the University of Warwick.
