Gus Christensen

Managing Director

Gus Christensen is a Managing Director of the firm's corporate advisory business. Prior to joining Evercore, he was an Associate in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at Goldman Sachs. Prior to business school, Mr. Christensen spent six years as a fixed income trader and debt capital markets banker at J.P. Morgan.

While with Evercore, Mr. Christensen has advised clients across a broad range of industries on significant M&A transactions. His sellside assignments include Performance Food Group on its sale to affiliates of the Blackstone Group and Wellspring Capital Management, Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises on its sale to Citizens Communications and Insight Communications on its sale to the Carlyle Group. His buyside work includes advising Cerberus Capital Management on its acquisition of Tower Automotive and Nuance Communications on several transactions, including its acquisitions of Dictaphone and Viecore. In addition, he has worked on corporate strategy and business development for the firm, including work on Evercore's IPO as well as its acquisitions of Protego Asesores and Braveheart Financial Services.

Mr. Christensen received his B.A. with distinction from Yale University and his M.B.A. with honors as a Palmer Scholar from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
