Charles Wert

Mr. Wert serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Evercore Trust Company. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Wert served as an Executive Vice President and Senior Trust Officer of U.S. Trust for more than 20 years. Mr. Wert's responsibilities included administration and supervision of the Special Fiduciary Services business, as well as marketing of fiduciary services to corporate employee benefit plans. Mr. Wert founded United Mercantile Bank and Trust Company, a national bank in Pasadena, California, and served as its President and Senior Trust Officer from 1982 until 1987. Mr. Wert also spent twelve years as Vice President and Trust Officer of California First Bank, a state-chartered financial institution.
Mr. Wert received a B.A. degree in Finance and Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles.
