Christopher Brand is a Managing Director and has distribution responsibilities for institutional relationships in the Western United States for the firm’s Private Funds Group.
Mr. Brand previously worked as a Managing Director with EFM, Inc. a timber investment management General Partner, where he focused on all aspects of capital raising and operations including interfacing with existing and prospective institutional and family office Limited Partners, asset management, acquisition and divestiture diligence and execution, fund formation and commercialization strategies and execution. Previously, Mr. Brand worked in institutional equities as Managing Director and head of the West Coast office of Dahlman Rose & Co., a leading boutique investment bank in the areas of transportation, infrastructure, natural resources, energy and commodities, where he assisted both public and private companies in securing capital. Prior to that, he worked at Thomas Weisel Partners Group (now Stifel Financial), a merchant bank focusing on technology, media, telecommunications, consumer, energy and industrials. Mr. Brand has also practiced general commercial, securities and real estate law with Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP and Lane Powell, LLP.
Mr. Brand received his JD, cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law, where he served on the Willamette Law Review, and his BA in Economics from Washington & Lee University. Chris serves on the Advisory Board to the Board of Trustees of Berkshire School, Sheffield, MA.
