F. Perkins Hixon

Senior Managing Director

Perk Hixon is a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s corporate advisory business. He has responsibility for the Firm’s global activities for clients in the Mining, Metals and Materials sectors.

Prior to Evercore, Mr. Hixon spent seven years at Lazard as Managing Director where he founded and led the firm’s global Metals Mining & Materials Group. Before joining Lazard in 2002, Mr. Hixon was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston and Co-Chairman of its Investment Bank Committee. Mr. Hixon was with Credit Suisse First Boston for over 17 years.

Over the years Mr. Hixon has advised his many clients on transactions encompassing mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and capital-raising. Recent transactions include Alcan’s acquisition of Pechiney and subsequent spin-off of Novelis, Alcoa’s acquisitions of Alumax and Reynold’s Metals; Rank Group’s acquisition of Alcoa’s packaging businesses, Quanex’s sale of MacSteel to Gerdau and concurrent spin-off of Quanex Building Products and the successful restructuring of Kaiser Aluminum.

Mr. Hixon received a B.A. in Government and Economics from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
