Daniel Celentano
Senior Managing Director
Daniel Celentano is a Senior Managing Director of the firm’s Restructuring and Debt Capital Markets Group.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Celentano was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns. At Bear Mr. Celentano served as Head of its Financial Restructuring Group and was responsible for the management of the approval and underwriting process for all debt and equity financing transactions executed by the Global Investment Banking Division. Mr. Celentano commenced his financial career in 1977 at Citibank, N.A. in its World Corporation Group.
Mr. Celentano has advised companies, their stakeholders and acquirers in many of the largest and most complex out-of-court restructurings and Chapter 11 cases and has chaired creditor committees. Recent clients include LyondellBasell, General Motors Corporation in connection with the Delphi Corporation Chapter 11 case, Time Warner in its acquisition of the assets of Adelphia Communications in its Chapter 11 case, and Arthur Andersen parent, Andersen Worldwide, in the distressed sale of its consulting business to KPMG Consulting to form Bearing Point in the aftermath of Arthur Andersen’s failure. Other restructuring related engagements have included Centro, E II Holdings, Interco, Marvel Entertainment, Morrison Knudsen, NVR L.P., Prime Motor Inns, Resorts International, Southmark Corporation, and Zale Corporation.
Mr. Celentano holds an M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School and a B.A. with Honors from Holy Cross College. Mr. Celentano has served as a member of the Board of the Turnaround Management Association and presently serves as Honorary Trustee of the Hackley School in Tarrytown, New York.
