Douglas Arthur is a Managing Director responsible for research coverage of the Publishing and Local Media industries and related companies in that space.
Previously, Mr. Arthur spent three years in the hedge fund industry covering Global Media, Internet and Telecom at Three Chopt Capital Management and running Redhawk Capital Management. From 1994 to 2006, Mr. Arthur was a Managing Director and equity research analyst covering the Publishing universe at Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, he was an equity research analyst at the former Kidder, Peabody for 13 years. Mr. Arthur has been on Institutional Investor's "All-America Research Team" and achieved top 3 ranking in the Greenwich Consultants survey numerous times. He started his career in financial services as a credit analyst at the former Chemical Bank.
Mr. Arthur, a chartered financial analyst, received a B.A. in both Art History and History from Colgate University. He served for many years as head of the Media, Entertainment Group of buy-side and sell-side analysts in New York (MEANY).
